Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms & User Roles
By signing up, accessing, or using the Skuul Platform (via web browser, Android application, or API), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Skuul provides four distinct user role interfaces:
- School Administrators: Authorized representatives with institutional provisioning and billing authority.
- Teachers & Staff: Users with class-scoped permissions for daily attendance, marks entry, and timetable views.
- Parents / Guardians: Authorized family members viewing student academic calendars, receipts, and notices.
- Students: Read-only access to homework, study schedules, report cards, and the AI study assistant.
2. Zero Hidden Fees Guarantee & Direct Bank Settlements
Skuul is committed to total financial clarity. We do not engage in hidden transaction commissions or deceptive markups:
- Direct UPI Bank Rail: School fee payments made via UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM) settle directly into the verified bank account of the school via NPCI rails. Skuul does not hold or escrow school tuition funds.
- No Surprise Surcharges: All pricing plans (Basic, Pro, Enterprise) are billed on a fixed, transparent per-student or per-school tier without arbitrary monthly transaction penalties.
- No Lock-In Trap: Schools may cancel their subscription at the end of their agreed billing cycle without punitive exit fees.
3. 100% Institutional Data Ownership
Your institution retains 100% proprietary ownership of all data, roster files, student media, attendance registers, and examination marks uploaded to Skuul. We act strictly as a Data Processor under Indian IT and DPDP Act frameworks. You have the right to export your entire dataset in standardized CSV / JSON formats at any time.
4. Fair Use, Intellectual Property & AI Tutor Guidelines
All branding, proprietary UI components, software algorithms, and visual tokens are the intellectual property of Skuul Technologies Pvt. Ltd. All web typography (Google Fonts Nunito Sans, Fraunces, Kalam, Caveat) are utilized under valid Open Font Licenses (OFL).
AI Tutor Usage: The AI study assistant is designed exclusively for educational assistance. Users agree not to exploit the assistant for generating offensive, abusive, harmful, or non-academic content.
5. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal dispute, arbitration, or judicial proceeding arising out of or in connection with Skuul services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated in Patna, Bihar, India.
